Principal's Welcome
Firstly, on behalf of our faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to St. John’s Academy. We are delighted that you have chosen to get to know more about our accelerated academic program.
Generations of my family have been Canadian citizens throughout our history; thus gratefully, that has given me a life as part of this country and what it has to offer. Being born and raised here in Vancouver, British Columbia, I have had the opportunity to experience the BC education system and all its changes throughout my entire life as a student and educator, and as a child and a parent. I see the value of high-quality education, care, and support for our youth as they grow to achieve their academic goals and become meaningful and worthwhile citizens of our local and global communities.
My entire career has been devoted to teaching and the growth of school programs in independent schools certified by the BC Ministry of Education.
As a growing community, understanding our identity and values is a huge part of learning and being successful both academically and in-life. By encouraging our students to always do their best as well as supporting and challenging them to achieve their greatest potential, all of us at St. John’s Academy are devoted to helping our students become impactful world citizens by being engaging with our teaching and mindful of their learning. Together, we all contribute to a healthy and positive learning environment allowing students to thrive and achieve.
Everyone may have different goals, but regardless of what those goals may be, we, at St. John’s Academy will guide, teach, and encourage your child to become confident and self-reliant while engaged in the high-level of education that our program has to offer.
